Celebrating Three Years of Employee Ownership at Woodsman

On September 29, 2026, Woodsman Kitchens & Floors celebrates three years as a 100% employee-owned company. It is an important milestone for our team and another chapter in a story that began more than 40 years ago.

Since becoming an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, or ESOP, company on September 29, 2023, we have continued doing what Woodsman has always done: helping homeowners and builders create spaces made for how people live. The difference is that today, the people contributing to that work also share in the company’s ownership and future.

What It Means to Be an ESOP

An ESOP is a qualified employee benefit plan that gives eligible employees an ownership interest in the company through shares of stock. At Woodsman, that means the company is owned by the employees who contribute their time, knowledge, and care to its success.

Employee ownership connects the work we do each day to a bigger shared purpose. From the first showroom conversation to design, fabrication, coordination, delivery, installation, and service, every role contributes to the customer experience and the strength of the company.

It also gives our team another reason to think beyond a single task. When the company succeeds over time, employee-owners have the opportunity to share in that success. This long-term perspective encourages us to look for ways to improve, work efficiently, support one another, and take pride in the details.

Built on More Than 40 Years of Experience

Woodsman Kitchens & Floors was founded in 1983. Over the decades, the company has grown, expanded its capabilities, and completed more than 200,000 projects throughout Northeast Florida.

Becoming employee-owned did not replace that history. It created a way for the people carrying the company forward to have a personal stake in what comes next.

Our employee-owners bring many different skills to the process. Designers help customers turn ideas into thoughtful plans. Our countertop team fabricates quartz and granite with specialized equipment in our Jacksonville shop. Field teams help bring designs to life in customers’ homes, while employees in customer service, operations, sales, administration, and other departments keep projects moving behind the scenes.

Each person sees a different part of the work, but all of those contributions are connected. Our third ESOP anniversary is an opportunity to recognize the full team behind the Woodsman name.

What Employee Ownership Means for Our Customers

Customers may not see every person involved in their project, but they experience the results of a coordinated team. Employee ownership reinforces the idea that every conversation, measurement, order, adjustment, and finishing detail matters.

For us, ownership is not simply a title. It is a mindset grounded in responsibility and care. It means understanding that the way we serve a customer can affect our coworkers, our reputation, and the future we are building together.

No remodeling project is exactly the same, and even a well-planned project can require problem-solving along the way. Our shared investment in Woodsman encourages employees across departments to communicate, collaborate, and keep working toward the best possible outcome.

That sense of accountability is especially meaningful because we live and work in the same communities as many of our customers. The kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, offices, laundry rooms, and gathering spaces we help create are part of homes throughout Jacksonville and the surrounding Northeast Florida area.

Celebrating the People Behind Woodsman

An anniversary like this is not only about marking a date. It is about celebrating the people who made the milestone possible.

We are grateful for our employee-owners and the experience, ideas, and effort they bring to Woodsman every day. Their work allows us to serve homeowners, builders, trade partners, and local communities while continuing to grow as a company.

We are also thankful for our customers and partners. Every person who visits our showroom, trusts us with a project, recommends our team, or works alongside us contributes to the Woodsman story. That support has helped a local company founded in 1983 continue serving Northeast Florida more than four decades later.

Looking Ahead Together

Three years of employee ownership gives us plenty to celebrate, but it also gives us a reason to look forward.

We will continue learning, improving, and finding better ways to serve our customers. We will continue investing in the relationships, craftsmanship, and local knowledge that have shaped Woodsman for more than 40 years. Most importantly, we will continue building the future of the company together.

To our employee-owners, customers, partners, and neighbors, thank you for being part of the journey. Here’s to three years of employee ownership and many more milestones ahead.
