What to Expect From a Design Session at Woodsman

Thinking about a remodel but not sure where to start? That’s exactly what our design sessions are for. Whether you're updating your kitchen, bathroom, or flooring, this is where we help you turn inspiration into a real plan, without the pressure.

Here’s what you can expect:

1. We’ll Get to Know You (and Your Space)

Every home is different, and so is every homeowner. We'll ask you about your goals, your style, your budget, and how you actually use your space. Bring photos, Pinterest boards, or just your best attempt at describing what’s driving you crazy in your current kitchen. We’re here to listen and guide.

2. We’ll Share Ideas, Samples, and Solutions

Once we understand your vision, we’ll walk you through cabinet options (like Aristokraft, Shiloh, Diamond, and Eclipse), countertop materials, flooring samples, and even storage solutions you may not have considered. You’ll get to see and feel the materials in person, which makes a huge difference.

3. We’ll Talk Layout and Functionality

Even the prettiest materials don’t matter if the layout doesn’t work. We’ll discuss how to maximize your space, improve flow, and add functionality, whether that means a bigger island, better lighting, or storage that actually makes sense.

4. You’ll Leave With a Plan

By the end of the session, you'll have a clear idea of the next steps. If you want a full set of renderings or drawings, those are available through our design services for a fee. But, if you move forward with us, the cost of design is credited toward your project.

5. There’s No Pressure

This isn’t a pushy sales pitch. It’s a collaborative, creative process. Our job is to help you make informed choices and feel excited about the path ahead. If you’re just starting to explore your options, that’s perfectly okay.

Pro Tip:
The more you bring, the better! Measurements, inspiration photos, photos of your current space, anything helps. But don’t stress if you’re coming in with nothing but questions. That’s what we’re here for.
