In March 2012, Woodsman Kitchens & Floors proudly celebrated the first anniversary of our full-service countertop fabrication facility in Jacksonville. While Woodsman had been fabricating stone long before this milestone, our original operation was much smaller and relied on older, more manual equipment. This expansion marked a major leap forward. By investing in a larger, more modern facility with advanced fabrication technology, we dramatically improved quality control, customization options, and turnaround times for homeowners and builders across Northeast Florida.

For decades, Woodsman had already been a trusted Corian fabricator and a respected name in stone fabrication. But as demand for granite and engineered quartz continued to grow, our internal capabilities needed to grow with it. The new fabrication facility gave our team the space, tools, and workflow efficiency required to keep pace with customer needs while maintaining the precise craftsmanship we’re known for.

A Facility Built for Precision & Growth

Our 20,000-square-foot fabrication facility was built with a clear purpose: to increase capacity without compromising quality. The space is thoughtfully laid out to ensure accuracy and smooth production flow at every stage of the process. Inside, you’ll find:

State-of-the-art granite and quartz cutting equipment
Dedicated areas for quality assurance, edge finishing, and final inspection
An on-site slab yard where customers can view full slabs in person
Integrated office space for streamlined communication between teams

Before this expansion, our smaller operation produced beautiful countertops, but the workflow was slower and less flexible. Larger, thicker, and more complex designs were more difficult to execute. The new equipment brought tighter tolerances, cleaner cuts, and the ability to fabricate intricate details with far more efficiency.

Within the first year of its opening, the upgraded facility increased granite and quartz production capacity by more than 30 percent. That growth allowed us to take on more projects while improving delivery times and expanding the creative possibilities for our clients.

Quartz Slab Yard On-Site, Granite Selection Through Local Partners

Because quartz is engineered for consistency, Woodsman maintains an on-site slab yard dedicated to quartz selections. Customers can browse full slabs, compare patterns, and choose the exact color and style that will be used in their project. Being able to view full-size quartz slabs helps customers understand scale, tone, and pattern repetition far better than a small showroom sample.

For granite selections, the process looks a little different. Granite’s natural variation makes it essential for customers to view full slabs in person, which is why we partner with multiple granite slab yards throughout Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. Customers visit these yards to choose the specific slabs they want for their home. Once a slab is selected and approved, it comes directly to Woodsman’s fabrication facility, where our team takes over.

This two-part approach — quartz onsite, granite through trusted partners — ensures customers get the best of both worlds: expansive selection, hands-on viewing, and the precision of Woodsman’s in-house fabrication.
